Halogenated Organics

Halogenated organic compounds have always presented a difficult remedial challenge. Because most were designed to kill plants, insects or microbes, they are all very recalcitrant and thus, quite resistant to biological remedies. DTI has solved this problem by developing an abiotic technology that converts halogenated organics to carbon dioxide and chloride ion upon contact; thus, eliminating the toxic intermediates of biological remedies. Whether free phase DNAPL or soil vapor intrusion, all are quickly converted to non-toxic byproducts.
